I am pleased to welcome you to St Wulstan's and St Edmund's Catholic Academy. We are a part of the Blessed Edward Bamber Multi Academy Trust and serve the local community of Fleetwood and its surrounding areas. We offer an excellent Catholic education to children aged 3 - 11 years. I am blessed to lead a staff team that are inspirational educators and we all work together to ensure that your child feels welcome and loved.

As the proud Headteacher, and born and bred in Fleetwood myself, I am honoured to lead our amazing school and support the development and growth of our wonderful community. My philosophy is clear and simple; to enable all pupils to thrive in life by teaching them the skills and knowledge for the next stage in their education, and offer every pupil real life  experiences to make choices so that they can decide where their adult life takes them. I strive for all children to aim high,  travel the world, chase the career of their dreams and lead the life they deserve. We may live in a small coastal town but the world is their oyster and it's our responsibility to ensure they're inspired and equipped for their future.

Our motto is 'As God's children, we touch the lives of others through our thoughts, words and actions'. This summarises our mission as a school. It is very important that we use our faith and Jesus as our role model to develop our children to reach their full potential. I am passionate about providing a rich, vibrant, and inclusive education for all our children and want to instil a love of learning that will stay with them forever.

As a Catholic school our ethos is based on love, respect and forgiveness and we recognise each child as a unique individual and ensure that our curriculum allows opportunities to discover and develop their talents.

We work hard to fundraise so that we can provide opportunities for all our children to attend extra-curricular events and trips, as we know that this is not only where memories are made but can open up their eyes to life beyond school and Fleetwood.

I look forward to working in partnership with you all and I’m excited to watch your children flourish into caring and compassionate young people.

With kindest regards,

Mrs Jessica Storton
