We are very lucky to have our full time class teaching assistant Mrs Channing. 
 

We use Class Dojo to share news, updates, events, celebrations and pictures of wow moments in our learning. 
 

PE lessons are taught on a Tuesday and Friday. Please ensure children have a full PE kit in school that is clearly labelled with your child’s name. Children must have pumps, purple shorts and a white St Wulstan’s & St Edmund’s t shirt. Please ensure earrings are removed for PE days. If your child has recently had their ears pierced, please cover with plasters for PE days. 
 

Home reading is a vital part of educational success. Your child will come home with a book bag book that matches their phonic knowledge. They will also come home with a book from our library that can be used as a shared read. Please aim to listen to your child reading their book bag book at least 3 times a week. The book bag book will remain for a full week and will be changed on a Friday. Please sign the reading record with a clear indication that the book is complete eg “finished” or “read to end”. Our class library day is Wednesday. Please ensure library books are returned each Wednesday ready for the children to choose a new book. 

Spelling 

Please see our Year 1 Spelling overview. Spellings will be set each week on Spelling Shed and children will be tested on Mondays in school. Your child can play spelling games using their spelling list on Spelling Shed however you are still able to support your child at home with spellings the traditional way of look, cover, write, check.
 

Maths 

Children have a login for NUMBOTS to play maths games and complete maths challenges at home.
